Gill – The Glasgow Girl – is a thirty-something Glasgow based blogger, born and raised in and around this fair city, ventured north to Aberdeen for university and stayed for work for an extra couple of years but has since returned to the good old hometown and have been back for 10 years now. It’s a while since I’ve painted my nails but I’ve got a wedding at the weekend and not much time this week so I painted them last night with @rimmellondonuk Super Gel Polish which is supposed to last 14 days. Here’s hoping it does. I don’t usually go for red nail polish except at Christmas but I quite like this one... it will go with the dress! #saturdaystyle keeping it cozy for a an afternoon of shopping in town... jeans and a black top with a chunky knit cardi for @cantstopshopping67 #chunkyknitsaturdays and of course a scarf. I’ve been on the hunt for a blazer since October and not found one the right style, length or thickness (there’s so many really thin/flimsy ones around, even in winter), but @doesmybumlook40 shared this beauty from @marksandspencerfashionpr on her stories and in a blogpost recently so thought I would give it a try... it’s a winner and came home with me! I need a longer line blazer to balance out my short body/long (34”) legs situation (I’m only 5ft 6 1/2” yes that 1/2” makes all the difference 😆)... Single breasted blazers tend to be more flattering on my shape and shorter more boxy styles tend not to suit my shape quite as well. Definitely a tad windswept and interesting this Monday night since it’s horrid and rainy ☔️ but never mind, it’s time for @style_me_h #stylemeonamonday I picked up this skirt in the Asos sale not convinced that it would fit or I would like it, but I love it... I adore the colour and think I might get it in black as skirts are something I lack in my wardrobe and so far this has been a good buy. Although it’s cord and I do have cord pinafore dresses, it’s a bit more versatile than the dresses. I can dress this up or down and will be able to wear it with trainers or sandals in spring/summer...
