    H&M Conscious Collection

If you like to shop a bit more sustainably then of course you can shop charity shops or pre-loved on EBay/Depop, but if you like to try and shop sustainably on the high street, H&M is a pretty good place to start as they have their Conscious collection. Here’s a few of my favourites from the collection… Low Back Jumper £17.99 As it’s still a bit chilly at the moment, a jumper is still often required, this low back jumper would be a great addition to your wardrobe as it dresses up jeans or skirts effortlessly. Add a statement necklace and you’re good to go. Blouse with Pin Tucks £17.99…

    Debenhams Beauty Discovery Box

I had a gift voucher from Christmas to spend in Debenhams and I had originally planned on buying clothes but having looked for 4 months and nothing took my fancy, I decided to treat myself to some beauty products… my mascara had just run out so it seemed like a good use of the voucher. I picked up a set of Benefit mini mascaras with Roller Lash, Bad Gal Bang and They’re Real. Benefit Lash Leaders £19 I saw the Beauty discovery box RRP £35 but on special offer for £17.50 with any beauty or fragrance purchase in store or online. Debenhams Beauty Discovery Box £35 A limited edition collection…

    Wardrobe Essentials – Shirts/Blouses

Please note this post may contain some affiliate links. I used to hate wearing shirts… maybe it’s the thought of ironing them or maybe it reminded me of working in some jobs I hated… but there’s a lot to be said for having some great shirts/blouses that work hard in your wardrobe. Denim Shirt You can’t beat a classic denim shirt… pair with black jeans or a skirt for an easy go to outfit. I picked up my denim shirt in Gap with 40% off before Christmas but they usually have some great ones available most of the year. It was a great bargain but it filled a gap in…

    The Body Shop Blogger Event

On Wednesday I was invited to The Body Shop product launch event at the Sauchiehall Street store by the lovely Gemma… you can follow her on Instagram at Bloggers Who Brunch Glasgow or Vegan Foodie Gems. It was co-hosted by Gemma and the fab team at The Body Shop – Sauchiehall Street. We were welcomed with some fizz or flavoured water/coffee from Starbucks and some vegan snacks… who doesn’t love a Party Ring?! We got to have a chat and browse the store and then hear about the amazing new products and get some skincare tips as well. Until Wednesday it has been years since I’ve been in The Body…

    Wardrobe Essentials – Trainers

Now… I’m not a massive fan of trainers… I have one pair that I wear fairly regularly and that’s it. Nike MD Runner 2 Trainers £48.99 These black trainers are great for a really casual look, or for dressing down a smarter look… as I’ve started wearing more midi skirts, I’ve worn them a few times to dress down a midi skirt, paired with a denim shirt and blazer or worn them with a denim skirt and slogan sweatshirt. I love Nike trainers as they are usually pretty narrow so they fit me really well. Nike Black & Gold Suede Cortez Trainers £70 These Cortez trainers are beaut! I love…

    Spring Break

Spring Break sounds very American… In most of Scotland, Spring Break (or Easter Holidays) has been standardised to the first two weeks of April (and then we still get the Easter weekend), so this week off could not have come quick enough! If you work in education, January to Easter is the week longest term and often the busiest one… I do have the joy of not being restricted to term time holidays and can take mine when I want but I decided to take a week off during the second week of the Spring break as work has been pretty full on lately and I just needed some time…

    Bargain Beauty Buys

Now as much as I love my high-end beauty products, like most people am on a budget so can’t always afford them… as you know I do love Dior foundation and Benefit (You can read my post about my favourite Benefit products here) and I do still use their products but I have started using their mini products which are available from Boots – 3 products for £27 and you get a free make-up bag. My go to Benefit products (in full size or mini) are usually a box blusher – Gold Rush Blush, Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter and a Bad Gal Bang Mascara, but this time I picked up a…

    Edinburgh Adventures

Last month I went through to Edinburgh to catch up with my old flatmates from university. I saw Sarah a couple of Chrsitmases ago but I hadn’t seen Kara for at least 8 years which is crazy considering how we lived in each other’s pockets at uni. Since I usually spend time in and around Princes Street and the Royal Mile and I’ve not spent much time in the west end of Edinburgh we decided that’s where we would spend the day. I arrived in Haymarket on a dry, cold and windy day and met Sarah at Café Noir on Palmerston Place… a street name that has many memories as…

    Spring/Summer Wedding Style Under £150

After doing a post about Winter Wedding Style Under £100 a friend asked if I would do one for Spring/Summer weddings as she has a few this year, so here are some of my finds from the High Street/online… if you’re trying to save some money or move towards a more sustainable wardrobe and already have a dress, it may just mean you want to add a different jacket for Spring when it’s still a bit chilly, or change your shoes/accessories, but here’s a few outfit options… I’ve increased the budget to £150 as there is a gorgeous dress for £110 that I couldn’t resist including. Roman Originals Teal Twist Waist Asymmetric…
