Festive Fashion Favourites

When you’re not a fan of the whole Christmas jumper thing or want to invest in pieces that you’ll wear more than once a year.

If you’ve been following along with my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’m all about trying to get away from fast fashion and buying less but buying well so when it comes to partywear or festive fashion, it’s always a bit tricky.

I’m not a big fan of velvet or over the top sequins on me, but they look great on other people so each to their own. There’s some great things on the high street at the moment.

River Island Cobalt Blue Blouse With Cap Sleeve £24

This top will look gorgeous paired with black skinny jeans or faux leather leggings or tucked into a high waisted skirt. Finish the look with either a statement collar necklace or a statement earring and arm party.

I’m missing my work Christmas get together but might pick this up as it would be a nice top to wear for work or for nights out.

Oasis Blue Bethany Bugle Beaded Jumper £42

I wore this last Saturday to a girly pre-Christmas lunch in town with jeans and different boots. It was nice to have something sparkly that wasn’t too over the top and it’s a colour that can be worn into spring too.

Glamorous Tall Relaxed Top in Sparkle Fabric £21

I’m a fan of stars and this navy top with metallic stars will be great all year round. Style with dark denim to take you from day to night effortlessly, or for a pop of colour you could pair with Burgundy skinny jeans if you have them.

H&M Burgundy Fine Knit Jumper £14.99

This burgundy jumper is perfect for a day time festive outing paired with jeans, the tie detail at the back is lovely. Why not pair with a leopard skirt or a faux leather one and ankle boots to change this look up for evening.

I’m currently on the lookout for some jumpers to replace ones that no longer fit and have recently gone to the charity shop so might have to order this or see if they have it in my local store next week.

I would maybe pair this jumper with this skirt from New Look.

New Look Grey Leopard Denim Skirt £12

As much as I love regular leopard print, the grey one will go with so much lots through winter and will transition well to spring, there’s limited sizes available so if you’re after one, get in quick.

Stella & Dot Sienna Tie Top £39.99

This short sleeve navy top has a feminine tie detail in a styling one shoulder silhouette. This is the perfect day to night style, just add jeans!

Stella & Dot Rebel Metallic Moto Jacket £149

Our chicest piece yet – the Metallic Moto Jacket will be the new star of your wardrobe. Different yarns threaded together to create a beautiful texture, vegan leather sleeve detailing and asymmetrical zipper detail. Throw on our Rebel leather leggings and a layered necklace to finish this look.

This is an investment piece that will work hard in your wardrobe and take you from day to night.

Stella & Dot Rebel Leggings £89

Introducing the Stella & Dot Leggings collection! The Rebel leggings are an edgy twist. Featuring ultra flattering ponte material with the fashion detail of a faux leather front that looks good on everyone! These leggings provide ultimate control and stretch so comfortable you will never want to take them off!

If you’re after a dress that you’ll wear time and time again, then I definitely would recommend this one:

Mint Velvet Tessa Print Midi Shirt Dress £129

I tried this dress back in October and fell in love with it. I had hoped it would go into the Black Friday sale but it didn’t and sadly I don’t have any Christmas nights out planned before I head aw. I do have a wedding in February… it might be a bit out there, but it’s a winter wedding and paired with a black blazer, shoes and black bag I think could be a winning outfit.

If you prefer a plain coloured dress then how about this gorgeous shirt dress?

Dorothy Perkins Teal Pocket Shirt Dress £25.60

I love a shirt dress, I would change the belt to a black or tan one and pair this with tan or black calf high slouch boots and a black coatigan for day or a blazer for evening.

This dress would work hard in your wardrobe… ideal for parties, work or weekends.

Gap Metallic Print Long Sleeve Midi Dress £74.95

Available in black and silver or black and gold. I would go for black and gold as I tend to suit gold better based on my hair colour, skin tone and eye colour and preference, but love mixing my metals in jewellery… the black and silver is equally as gorgeous… wear now for party season or dress down with trainers and a denim jacket for shopping and lunch with friends.

For a more dressed down look, this shift dress is a great alternative…

Roman Originals Grey Marble Print Shift Dress £40

Pair with a black biker jacket and ankle boots to add some edge.

That’s a few of my favourites for the Festive Season. What are you loving?

Hope you have a great week.
